Rigid PVC-U Conduit — 20 to 50mm

Round conduit made from a specially formulated super high impact, self-extinguishing PVC-U compound. Every length is printed with the standard, size, gauge, compression class and country of origin, so what is on site can be checked against what was specified.

Gauges

Heavy gauge is the volume specification for the UAE and carries the 1250N compression classification — use it for cast-in, buried and any run at risk of mechanical damage. Medium and light gauge are available for surface work in protected environments. Heavy gauge is also the only gauge produced in the LSF compound.

Sizes and lengths

20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 38mm and 50mm outside diameter, supplied in 2.90m lengths. 20mm and 25mm are the mainstream sizes for lighting and small power; 32mm and above for sub-main, riser and feeder routes. Note the range uses 38mm, not 40mm.

Colours and ends

White, black and grey as standard — the colour code is appended to the product code, so AEKMCR6 becomes AEKMCR6WH in white and AEKMCR6BK in black. Plain end and socketed end patterns are both produced; the socketed end saves a coupler on every joint.

Certification

Conduit carrying the AEKM prefix is Kitemark certified under licence KM 818543 to BS EN IEC 61386-21. It is the only conduit product manufactured in the GCC region to carry the BSI Kitemark.

Frequently asked

What does 1250N mean on conduit?
It is the compression classification — the conduit withstands a 1250 newton compressive load in the test to BS EN IEC 61386-21. It identifies heavy gauge conduit, which is what should be specified for cast-in and buried work.
Is Marshall-Tufflex conduit made in the UAE?
Yes. It is produced regionally by Vivasvaan Industrial Co. (SP) LLC at KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, under trade mark licence from Marshall-Tufflex Ltd, UK, and each length is printed "Made in UAE".
What is the difference between 38mm and 40mm conduit?
The Marshall-Tufflex range is 38mm, which is the British Standard size. 40mm is a different, non-BS size sold by some suppliers and the two are not interchangeable with the same fittings.
